October is designated as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. One of the major goals of this national awareness month is to increase breast cancer awareness. Another, but no less important goal, is the work that breast cancer organizations do towards finding a cure for breast cancer.
Beyond that, many of the non-profit organizations devoted to breast cancer research and awareness are sponsoring events to raise money for all of these things, but also to help women who are fighting breast cancer, to receive proper treatment, regardless of their income or ability to pay.
One of the most familiar breast cancer organizations is Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® also happens to be the largest and most successful fundraiser or educational breast cancer event in the world.
The Komen Inland Empire Race for the Cure® will take place on October 20th. The race location is The Promenade in Temecula. Anyone who is interested in registering to participate in the event can do so either online, by mail, or in person – either before or at the event.
You can start your own team, join an existing team or register as an individual. Show your support and spread awareness about breast cancer. One in 8 American born women will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their lives.
Make sure you have adequate insurance, whether for yourself, your family members. Contact the Stromsoe Insurance Agency to discuss your health, life or any other insurance needs.
